Breakfast at staying hotel. This morning depart for Kuala Lumpur City Tour.

This tour introduces you to the beauty of old and modern Kuala Lumpur. You will have an opportunity of photographing the famous Petronas Twin Tower; the world’s tallest, as it stands majestically in the city center. Stop at the breathtaking Royal King Palace, which provides excellent photographic opportunities. Our next stop is the National Monument, erected in 1966 in memory of fallen soldiers who fought in the guerilla’s war against communism in defending of the country. Drive pass the National Mosque and the Railway Administrative building before coming to the Independence Square where the country first national flag was hoisted to mark the achievement of independent from the British in 1957. Here at this spot, you will be also able to photograph the scenic Sultan Abdul Samad building with its intricate Moorish architecture.

Return to hotel after tour. Rest of the day is at your own leisure to discover the good bargains and cozy cafes and restaurants of Kuala Lumpur, the happening City.

day 3 malaccaKuala Lumpur : Day Trip Melika

After breakfast drive 2 hours south to Malacca and enjoy a full day tour of this historic city. Melaka is a UNESCO heritage site, the historic colonial towns is a living testimony to the multi-cultural heritage of traditional Asia and European colonial influences. Here many battles has been fought to gain control of this strategic base located between the Eastern and Western world leading to the monopoly and control of the lucrative East Indies’ spice trade. When the early European settlers departed, they left behind a treasure trove of historical buildings and landmarks synonymous to Malacca today.

Drive past Bukit China, the largest Chinese cemetery outside of China, before visiting the famous gateway Porta De Santiago and the ruins of Saint Paul’s Church. Continue to picturesque Dutch Square with its famous salmon pink coloured Stadhuys and Christ Church. Walk to the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum before visiting Cheng Hoon Teng, the oldest Chinese temple in peninsular Malaysia. Afterwards, enjoy a leisurely stroll along colourful Jonkers Street browsing the antiques and curios in the old shophouses that line the street.

Late afternoon, return to Kuala Lumpur.

Depart by 0830 hours for Cameron Highland located at 1542 meters above sea level and noted for its tea plantations and cool temperatures. Stop on the way for a visit to see the cottage industry of basket weaving followed by Lata Iskandar Waterfall and a native settlement. Immerse in the cool, crisp air of Cameron Highlands with its wonderful scenery. Tour of Cameron Highlands consists of the tea plantation, tea factory, market place and butterfly farm.

day 5 penangCameron Highlands – Penang

After breakfast set off to Penang. Proceed to tour to the scenic tea plantation, the Sungei Palas Boh estate which is regarded as the largest and best known tea station in the region. Take a tea break (own account) after the brief guided tour of the tea factory. Thereafter, continue journey to the Royal town of Kuala Kangsar to appreciate the mesmerizing Ubudiah Mosque, the attractive Iskandariah Palace and Istana Kenangan which was built without a single nail. The visits of these 3 interesting sites are from the outside.

Proceed further to Penang. Cross over to Penang, better known as the “Pearl of the Orient” via one of the longest bridge in the world. Check-in to your staying hotel and

Penang: City Sightseeing

0900 hrs, depart from hotel for a City, Culture, and Heritage tour of Georgetown, which has been official declared as a UNESCO SITE in 2008. Visit the 3rd longest reclining Buddha figure in the world followed by Kek Lok Si Temple, also known as Temple of 1000 Buddhas, that was built in 1904. It is the most beautiful and largest Buddhist temple complex in SouthEast Asia. Next we visit Fort Cornwallis, the landing site of Captain Francis Light in 1786 when he arrived to start the first British colony in Penang. The tour carries on with a visit to the water village of The Clan Jetties at Weld Quay, so named as residents of each jetty share similar surname. We next take you along Pitt Street, also known as “The Street of Harmony”. Here churches, Chinese temples, mosques and Hindu temples are built along the same street in harmonious existence side by side for centuries. Visit the intricate Khoo Kong Si clan’s house. Enjoy a breezy trishaw ride, a still popular mode of transport in Georgetown.

 

Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is at your own leisure. In the late evening, you can explore the nightlife along Batu Ferringhi, Penang style! Overnight.
